Quarterly Kaleris TOS Newsletter

4–5 minutes

The terminals winning today aren’t the ones with the most data. They’re the ones that know what to do next.

This quarter, we went deep on one question: how do you give terminal operators faster, clearer decisions  without adding complexity? Here’s what we heard, what we built, and what it means for you.

Every terminal operator is facing the same wall

Across conversations with our customers, partners and in industry events like TOC Europe, CTAC, Breakbulk this year, one common topic came up again and again: terminals aren’t short on technology or data. They’re short on clarity. When congestion builds or a yard plan starts breaking down, the tools show you what’s happening  but leave the operator to figure out what to do about it

The gap isn’t information. It’s the step between seeing the problem and knowing the right move. That’s the gap we’ve been building toward closing.

The industry said it at CTAC Europe 2026

During Rene Alvarenga’s panel discussion, the message from operators and technology leaders was unusually direct: AI and automation are only valuable if they reduce the cognitive load on your team – not add to it. The terminals making the most progress aren’t deploying the most technology. They’re deploying the most useful technology.

The best technology reduces friction, not increases it

The most successful terminals aren’t replacing people with technology- they’re empowering them with it. Rene shares why putting people at the center of AI, automation, and optimization is key to driving terminal productivity.

Our latest innovation

Yard Intelligence Suite: the next step in our Advanced Optimization journey

At TOC Europe 2026 in Hamburg this May, we launched the Yard Intelligence Suite (YIS) – the latest evolution in our Advanced Optimization portfolio. If RTG Optimization (RTG-O) tackles equipment efficiency and Terminal Truck Optimization (TT-O) reduces cycle times, YIS takes on the yard itself: anticipating congestion, balancing capacity, and surfacing the right moves before bottlenecks form.

N4 is the foundation. Advanced Optimization is what unlocks its full potential. YIS extends that further -from reacting to problems to preventing them.

Terminals that didn’t wait

These partnerships mentioned below are live examples of what happens when our solutions are deployed at scale- setting the stage for their operational success with a strategic foundation.

Building on a successful partnership, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zones (APSEZ) has signed a multi-year agreement with Kaleris to expand N4 and Advanced Optimization solutions across 15 container terminals spanning nine domestic and international ports. The initiative supports Adani’s vision for AI-led transformation, creating a unified digital foundation for terminal operations, planning, automation, and optimization at scale.

The collaboration reinforces a shared commitment to automation, optimization, and operational excellence at scale.

TPS has upgraded to N4 4.0, gaining access to a modernized user experience, improved performance, and a platform designed to support future innovation.

The investment strengthens TPS’s digital foundation while positioning the terminal to take advantage of evolving capabilities and operational efficiencies.

Our Advanced Optimization webinar series is now fully live and available on demand. Hear directly from Joey Purdue, Director of Terminal Technology & Innovation at Port of Houston, on real results from RTG Optimization. Get a full walkthrough of Terminal Truck Optimization and YIS from the experts that built the solutions, including what measurable impact looks like in practice.

Whether you’re evaluating optimization for the first time or looking to get more out of an existing N4 deployment – this is the clearest picture we’ve offered of our latest innovations that improve terminal performance.
